2 days off is too much i thinks

I had yesterday off and now i have today off. I officially think i like the broken up schedule of days off more. I have definitely gotten more sleep but.... What exactly do you do with TWO days off?...

Sunday was Food Not Waste's fundraiser dinner.... which was awesome. Bunch of people showed up, had a great time, hung out... good times. The garden looks amazing (ITS HUGE) and its will be beautiful when food is being harvested.

I planted some basil, spinach, and lettuce yesterday in planter boxes for the apartment. Im excited about that.

Im not sure what more I can say...
heres a work story. (this story has lots of foul language)

James was my favorite person to work with at Mcdonalds. He was a young black guy who really enjoyed hip hop. And he would sing a bunch through his shift. He really liked to sing Tupac. It got him through the crap work of frying burgers.
He really enjoyed cussing out people (especially managers). The customers couldn't hear because we were in the back. But he would be told to do things by a manager and his reply would be something like, "Fuck that mother fuckin' shit. I can do whatever I fuckin' want whenever I want to. Ya'll are fucked up." Then he would do whataver he was told to do. He also loved to talk about how nasty the food is (which it is). "Who the fuck eats this shit. Its all greasy and nasty and fucked up." And he would do and say much more. The managers just knew he liked to complain about everything.
The reason he got away with saying what he did was that he was a great worker. He helped other people out and did a great job. He helped train me bit and after everything he showed me he would say "easy as pie man, easy as pie." I have come to love that saying now... easy as pie... ikt always makes me smile.
Mcdonalds loved to find ways to screw you over with their shifts; for example, give you your two breaks and your half within the first two hours of work because its a "slow time." They suck and should burn in hell. seriously.
James wore his black Air Jordan shoes to work everyday. They looked uniform enough, but the managers finally ordered him a Shoes for Crews pair of shoes. When they arrived James was working assembling hamburgers during a "fast time" (lots of customers). The managers ordered him to change his shoes immediately. James replied, "Naw its too busy right now all these mothafuckas are gonna get behind and im gonna come back all behind and shit." The managers did not like that answer they fouught back and fourth. He really didnt want the crew to fall behind. It would mess everything up and make him come back and have to catch up. Another reason he didnt want to change his shoes was that they were going to make him take his break to do it. He was there for a little over half an hour and tried to explain to them that it was unfair. After fighting for a while (and working at the same pace), he stopped, said "Fuck this shit I'll fuckin quit right now." went over to the manager office signed a paper saying that he quit and he left.
I have never seen James again, but if I do I just want to tell him thank you for making hell a little easier to handle.... He was fun to work with and in his own way he made people happy throug his joking around and constant smile...

bad day

work sucks

via videosift.com

I dropped an entire rack of donuts today.... I pushed the donut cart wrong and all of the pans, some raw and some cooked, slid onto the floor. They all had to be thrown out. That was 400 donuts. I felt like crap. today sucked.

Earlier this week i was told they are going to hire another donut fryer and they want me to start to do bagels and muffins. That means I will start at probably 4 or 5. Thats exciting. Maybe I will sleep more. If the new person works full time it means I will fry donuts for only 2 days a week.

Better news.... I got accepted to Evergreen (again). i was worried that I wasnt going to get accepted again, but I did.

Chelsea got the caregiver job (Yay!!!!) congrats to her. Actually I need to go pick her up now...

Vacation for boss lady

So....
I saw my schedule for work next week which says that im working 48 hours. That means I only get one day off. The bakery manager is taking a vacation and I have to work extra hours because of it.. yay!!!

Chelsea just got hired to be a caregiver. Two 24 hour shifts a week and she will be making as much as I do.... Im jealous... Im really happy for her. I think it will be a great fit.

so i think with every blog I should write stories of past work experiences. I have some.... um... interesting people I have worked with in my time up here.

Heres a recent story;

One of the ladies I work with in the bakery reminds me of bobcat goldthwait. She is just really goofy and she has these crazy eyes thing she does. She is one of the people I actually enjoy working with. I smile at her she smiles at me. If I dont joke around with her, she just complains about work. (about half of the people in the bakery have requested transfers for the past couple of years and nobody has gotten one). One day I saw her running through the kitchen yelling at whoever would listen tto take care of the customer at the front desk. She ran through holding her butt akwardly and announced: "I cant hold it anymore!!!"...
good times

sleepin in

so.......
I slept for 12 hours and I feel rested. I know this weekend will be stressful with Easter being on sunday (yes, I have to work Easter).

Weather has changed. Its really nice in some ways. Its beautiful to see everything coming back to life. On my drive home from work I drive down this street with really pretty trees with pink flowers all over them. And everyday it gets prettier. We have had some days where it has been too hot, though. There were two days where it got into the 70s.

I visited nick and kevin yesterday. For those of you who dont know, I used to live with nick and kevin is a friend I met through him who happens to live next door.
The garden thats being worked on is awesome. I was blown away.

Yesterday Chelsea and I had this discussion on existence and reality that was twisting my melon. Im pretty much convinced that everyone and everything is a figment of my imagination and im just dreaming. But thats ok, I still love all of you (even if you are just electrical pulses in my brain). Im going to rent the Truman Show.

Its good friday, that means I have to watch Jesus Christ Superstar (thanks padre for sending that).

Im moving blogs

This is where my blog will be from now on. More people I know are using it and it will help me connect with them more.
Sorry its been so long since the last update. I really haven't had much happen. Then again alot has happened.

I just woke up from over 14 hours of sleep (you will understand why later)

lets see... I have moved...
Chelsea and I decided to move in together at the end of February. It has been great. I think our place is really sweet and I like the view from our porch alot.
I have been working at Safeway for about two and a half months now. I work in the bakery; my title is Baker II. Thats a cool title, but it really means that I fry donuts all morning. My shift starts at 2 AM and lasts until 10:30. It has been pretty crappy. I was really excited when I first started, but it has just progressively gotten worse. I was told they were going to teach me things and they started to, but a big sale for donuts started and doesnt end until next year. With this sale I am barely able to finish my days work with donuts and I have been working alot of overtime because its so much.
If it wasn't for Chelsea's constant encouragement and support I would have quit this job such a long time ago.

I applied for Evergreen (college) a couple of days ago... So Im waiting to hear from them... I dont have any idea how Im going to pay for school still, but it will probably require a loan or some good scholaarships. Im really excited to start school. Recently I have been having this idea of writing a book... possibly of the history of punk rock. Maybe write on alternative music in general. I dont really know yet.

Music I have been liking recently;innapropriate music may be included... so dont continue this if you get offended:

Mars Volta's "Amputechture" is an awesome albuym everyone should have a copy of.

Sorry I couldnt find a better version

Black Flag's "My War" is becomeing one of my favorite albums

there is alot more, but im going to go now.... leave me a message through email or something...
yes? please

bye
